I am Jonathan Weldon. Broker/Owner and Founder of Cedar Properties. I was born in Koror, Palau, but mostly grew up in Stockton, California. When I was twelve my family moved on to a sailboat and a couple of years later (after much much work on the boat) sailed to Hawaii, where I spent my high school years. Ended up graduating from the same school as President Obama, Punahou Academy.

One of my first loves growing up was real estate. I was always fascinated by how much impact it has on our lives – visually, emotionally and financially.

After completing my high school education at Punahou Academy in Honolulu, I returned to California and enrolled in Junior College in my hometown of Stockton. In 1991, I transferred to U.C. Berkeley and subsequently graduated in 1993. After graduating, I flirted with a few options for my future, including becoming a lawyer, but ended up coming back to my original love, Real Estate.

I worked hard to garner a General Contractor’s license in 1999 but during that time got some exposure to small real estate management companies and really felt that my skills and demeanor were far better suited to that profession. In 2002 I opened up my own management company, Cedar Properties, and have never looked back.

After all these years, I still really enjoy this profession. I feel like I am always in the middle of two groups of people (residents and owners) that are so passionate about their experiences with their buildings that they own and/or reside in.

I am also very blessed to be the father of three amazing young men and have enjoyed countless hours coaching and supporting them in sports (baseball, flag football, basketball, soccer) and their other love, theater.

Rose Roque | Real Estate Business Manager & Leasing Agent

Lic. #02056924

Rose Roque was born in the Philippines in 1988. She immigrated with her family to Los Angeles in 1999 and later became a U.S. citizen.

She interned for the Los Angeles Mayor in 2005 and worked on several successful political campaigns. She trained in Culinary Arts and earned a degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Affairs from the University of California, Riverside. Following the passing of her mother, Rose continued working in real estate in Los Angeles to help support her two younger sisters, later becoming a California-licensed real estate sales agent after relocating to the Bay Area.

Outside of real estate, Rose is a multidisciplinary artist, photographer, and poet. In 2023, after being approved by a jury panel of art experts, she was welcomed as a member of San Francisco Women Artists Gallery, a historic organization founded more than 130 years ago. That same year, she exhibited her work alongside her daughter, who is also an artist.

Through Rose Roque Art, she creates and sells original artwork and photography to private and business collectors. Her creative work explores themes of love, loss, identity, resilience, and the experiences that shape a life. Her first collection of poetry is scheduled for publication in December 2026.

With all of her experiences thus far, what keeps Rose going in real estate is her passion for helping people find a place they can proudly call home.
